The Class of 1981 celebrated their 40th class reunion that weekend and were there Friday night to support their classmates, the senior Class of 1981 Football Players, for their induction into the Cuyahoga Falls High School Football Hall of Fame and to celebrate their establishment of the Black Tiger Gridiron Alumni Club.

The Black Tiger Gridiron Alumni Club Locker Room Project

The Black Tiger Gridiron Alumni Club would like to thank everyone involved that helped in the renovation project on the outdated football locker room facilities. Thanks to Gridiron Club members, CFHS graduates and CFHS Football Hall of Famers Randy Caldwell and Rick Seifert and area businesses and individuals who helped complete this well overdue project.

“This project is an exceptional example of what can be accomplished with community involvement and leadership. Our kids need to know that as a community we support them and are making an effort by building them a new football home to launch and rekindle the proud tradition of CFHS. Nothing worth having will ever be achieved without effort,” says Randy Caldwell.

This project had two phases. Phase 1 was to complete the locker room, showers, and temporary flooring. Phase 2 provided new flooring, state-of-the-art technologies such as internet, streaming television for position coaching, and a general home for players and students during the off season.

Our project is complete thanks to the efforts of many individuals and businesses. In addition, we have had exceptional support from School Superintendent Dr. Todd Nicholas and the Cuyahoga Falls Schools Foundation and Alumni Association.
